I started oomph in January 2009 because I kept noticing the same thing everywhere I went. Everyone had the same couch. Beige, gray, or some variation of inoffensive. Not because they loved it. Because they didn't know what else to do.
The idea that you had to play it safe to play it well felt wrong to me. Color shouldn't be intimidating. A room should feel like you actually live in it.
So I built the Tini Table. One small piece that could change the whole feeling of a room without requiring a renovation or a decorator on speed dial. I made the first ones in my kitchen in New Canaan, and we sold them before I even had a proper office.
That was 15 years ago. We now have three showrooms, a full furniture collection made entirely in the USA, and customers who've been with us since the Tini days.
